Second
Thursday Creativity Series
5:30-7:30
p.m. second Thursday of each month
Join
us for this fun series for preschool and elementary school-aged
children and caring adults. Each event features a different
theme along with a visiting artist. Stations will be set
up throughout the museum to encourage creativity through
hands-on activities. Included with admission or membership.

"A Maritime of Fun"
5:30 –– 7:30 p.m.
For pre-school and elementary-aged children and an adult.
Join us for a variety of fun, hands-on activities with a maritime
theme in support of Marquette's Maritime Month celebration. .
There will also be the usual Fruit and Veggie Ventures, unexpected
music and much more.
Free with admission or membership.
Thursday is also Dominos Pizza Night at the Museum so order your
pizza before 5:30 by calling 226-3911 and it will be delivered
during the event. The cost per pizza is $5 plus tip.
The Second Thursday events are sponsored by the Max and Phyllis
Reynolds Foundation, Yellow Book, Kohls, Culvers, and the Marquette
County Active Living Task Force for Fruit and Veggie Ventures.
Each
weekday morning: Mr.
Jim's Toddler Clubhouse
Each
weekday at 11:00 a.m. enter Mr. Jim's
Toddler Clubhouse of fun activities.
Mr. Jim will offer a mix of developmentally
appropriate hands on activities for toddlers
and their care givers. Don't miss the
fun. The activities are free with admission
or membership and the program is supported
by Target.
Explainer
Training
Friday, August 6
6-8 p.m.
Become
a part of our volunteer leadership program, The Explainers.
Training is open to all youths ages 8 to 18. Be a leader in the
Museum.
Learn how to handle the Museum's animals, help in the store
and more. Trainings are the first Friday of every month. Pizza
is served. A parent or caregiver must be present
from 7:30 to 8 p.m. For more details, call 226-3911 and ask
for Nheena or Jim. Program is FREE. Support is provided by Delta
Kappa Gamma Foundation, the Washnock Family, Fox Motors of Negaunee
and Fox Motors of Marquette
Dominos
Pizza Night
Every
Thursday. Order by 5:30 p.m. and eat just after
6. $5.00
per pizza plus tip. Pizza orders can also be
pre-arranged by calling 226-3911.
School of Rock
Friday,

Join Bobby Hayes and his young students
for live music. You can use the instruments
too!
Ectothermic
Days: A fit of phobic fun!
Slither
on in to the museum for Ectothermic Days. There
have been some recent changes in the days and
times of the Ectothermic Days events. That
is when our reptile expert Amanda brings out
many of our snakes and lizards for fun sessions
of hands-on learning. From now on the Ectothermic
Days will be held on the first, third and fourth
Fridays of each month from 3:30 until 5:30,
and also during all Second Thursday Creativity
Series events, which run from 5:30 until 7:30
each second Thursday of every month. The program
is free with admission or membership.
