8-18 Media is an award-winning youth news bureau where kids ages 8 to 18 report on issues that affect their lives. Our mission is to empower young people by giving them a significant voice in the world.

Members work in teams to produce stories which are published regularly in Marquette Monthly magazine and broadcast weekly on WMQT-Q107 Radio and WNMU Public Radio 90 in Marquette.

Besides local reporting, members cover special projects such as recent cultural exchanges with youth in Japan and the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions. Stories have appeared in numerous national outlets including The Boston Globe, New York Daily News, Los Angeles Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The bureau has approximately 45 members. For membership information click here.
